Here is a demo of a very personal song. I was going through a little tailspin after a romantic dissapointment and I tracked this in my basement studio. No elaborate arraingements or even any real production. Just a sad dude and a microphone...
My guitar player and his girlfriend tell me it is the best thing I've ever written. Not sure about that, but if you like sad, slow songs, this one might be for you.
Cheers,
Blair
The mixing is completed on the first 5 songs and we have sent to a mastering house. We are also pressing onto a 5 song EP/Demo to hand out while we work on the rest of the songs for the full CD project.
I'll post some songs as soon as the mastering process is completed.
We start pre-production on the next batch of songs on Saturday.
Also, I've posted a few songs from an outdoor performance of ours a few weeks ago in Savannah for Oktoberfest in front of a couple of thousand of people.

the 5 song demo/EP is almost finished. A few finishing touches to be put on it next weekend and then mixing and mastering the next week or so. i'm hoping to post some tracks here the first part of November. Can't you feel the excitement. :-)
We have all the electric guitar parts on these first 5 songs completed.we also add some dobro and banjo on one song. We will be tracking some mini-moog and other keys next. maybe some tamberine and other ear candy. also, we may add some in-the-background acoustic guitar parts. then background and main vocals. the rough mixes are sounding good. we are happy with the way things are progressing.

OK, the drum parts are all edited and tidied up. the bass overdubs are done. Things are sounding good.
We will be working on guitar parts this weekend. Both of my guitarists are stellar players and have unique and creative sounds of their own. the challange will be to mesh it all together. It should be a fun and productive weekend. We will be tracking at staceys home studio. He has some great guitars and amps and effects as well as a nice pre-amp for recording. Mark will bring his own set of toys and I have a rickenbaker guitar I like to use on sessions as well.
I heard from Ken today, he is eager to get us back into the studio to record my vocals. We should be ready for him in a couple of weeks. I can't wait until I can get these songs posted.
cheers,
Blair
